Plea to cancel CBSE, ICSE class XII exams filed in SC

A plea has been filed within the Supreme Courtroom in search of instructions to the Centre, Central Board of Secondary Training (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian College Certificates Examination (CISCE) to cancel the CBSE and ICSE Class XII examinations.

CBSE via its letter dated April 14 had cancelled the examination for sophistication X and postponed the examination for sophistication XII. CISCE via its circulars dated April 16 and April 19 had cancelled the examination for sophistication X and postponed the examination for sophistication XII for an unspecified interval.

The plea requested the court docket to put aside the CBSE and CISCE notifications of April 14,16 and 19, 2021 issued solely in respect of clauses coping with the postponement of the Class XII examination.

The petition filed by advocate Mamta Sharma requested the court docket to plan an goal methodology to declare the results of class XII inside a particular time-frame.

The plea acknowledged that for the harmless college students of sophistication XII, “step-motherly, arbitrary, inhuman instructions” have been issued to postpone their remaining examination for an unspecified length.

It added that delay in declaration of consequence will finally hamper one semester of the aspiring college students as admission can’t be confirmed till the results of Class XII is asserted.
