Jailed Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Taken To Hospital Following “Blood Pressure Fluctuation”

Jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh took unwell Wednesday and was moved to PGIMS Rohtak on the recommendation of jail medical doctors, officers stated.

The 53-year-old chief of the Sirsa-headquartered sect can be saved below the statement of a workforce of medical doctors within the authorities hospital, the officers within the prisons division stated.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who has been lodged in Rohtak’s Sunaria jail since 2017 following his conviction for raping his two girls disciples, was examined by the medical doctors on the high-security jail after he complained of blood pressure-related points, the officers stated.

After being examined by the jail medical doctors, he was taken to PGIMS at Rohtak for higher statement and administration, they stated.

“He had some fluctuation in his blood stress. On the recommendation of (jail) medical doctors, he was taken to PGIMS Rohtak,” Haryana”s Director Basic of Prisons Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor informed PTI over the telephone.

Safety has been tightened on the hospital, a police official from Rohtak informed PTI, including the sect chief had been saved in a separate ward.
