AAP ex-MLA Jarnail Singh dies of Covid complications : The Tribune India

Former AAP MLA from Rajouri Backyard, Jarnail Singh, died on Friday morning of Covid-related problems.

He had been beneath intensive care at a super-speciality hospital right here for over 9 days, his relations stated.

Singh had resigned from his seat within the Delhi meeting to contest the 2017 meeting polls in Punjab.

He contested the high-profile Lambi seat in opposition to Prakash Singh Badal and Capt Amarinder Singh.

Badal gained the seat.

Jarnail, a former journalist, had stop his job after he hurled a shoe at then Union Dwelling Minister P. Chidambaram in March 2009.  

Singh a survivour of the 1984 anti-sikh riots, was a resident of Lajpat Nagar in Delhi.

He authored a ebook ‘I accuse: The Anti-Sikh Violence of 1984’ detailing a number of unknown points.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia additionally condoled the demise.

“Deeply saddened by the premature demise of former Delhi MLA Sh Jarnail Singh ji. Might God bless his soul. He’ll all the time be fondly remembered for his contributions to society,” Kejriwal stated in a tweet.

Sisodia remembered Singh as somebody who fought for justice for the victims of 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
